Marianne Thomsen Clement

Planning masterclass

In September 2023, Marianne organized the concert series “Træklange,” where she performed as both a chamber musician and soloist in Carl Nielsen’s Flute Concerto. Marianne Thomsen Clement holds degrees from Malmö and Paris and made her debut in June 2022 from the soloist program at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus (DJM). She frequently performs as a flutist and piccolo player with regional orchestras in Denmark and southern Sweden. In the fall of 2023, she is undertaking trial service as principal flutist with the Jönköpings Sinfonietta in Sweden. In 2022, Marianne was the fundraiser and lead organizer of the concert series Carl Nielsen and the Flute. Additionally, she served as PR manager and a member of the steering committee for DJM’s student-led RAMA Festival.

Marianne is also a co-founder of several chamber music ensembles and the initiator and treasurer of the Aarhus-based musician collective ØveKlubben. In November 2022, she was awarded the Harby Foundation’s major scholarship for young artists with promising careers. As part of the team behind the Nordic Piccolo Festival 2025, Marianne is responsible for organizing the festival’s masterclasses. This involves coordinating the repertoire and instructor preferences of the participating flutists, as well as scheduling in alignment with the festival’s pianists and guest artists.
