Kaja Marie Andersen

Kaja Marie Andersen is the assistant artistic director of the Nordic Piccolo Festival. She has a Bachelor’s degree from The Norwegian Academy of Music and Conservatoire Nationale Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. She is currently studying a post-graduate degree at The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus after finishing her Master’s degree at The Royal Danish Academy of Music last year. She has studied with many prominent professors, including Tom Ottar Andreassen, Sophie Cherrier, Vincent Lucas, Ulla Miilmann and Thomas Jensen. Her interest in the piccolo flute began when she was studying her Bachelor’s degree with Andrew Cunningham at The Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, and continued to grow when she studied with Pierre Dumail and Russel Itani. In recent years, Kaja has been working as a freelance musician in most of the Danish orchestras.
